Items need to be:
- unbroken, clean, free of stains and rips
- operational = They work.
- nonperishable
- in sellable condition
We do not accept:
- perishable items
- food
- live plants or animals
- items that are dirty, damaged or unusable
- items not in sellable condition
- pianos or organs
- encyclopedias
- hide-a-beds
- mattresses and box springs
- cribs
- car seats
- tube-style televisions
- printers
- cleaning supplies
- paint or stain
- chemicals of any kind
- tires
- car batteries
Our donation doors are located in the back of our Thrift Store & More building, located at 1305 Hwy 10W, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
When you get into the parking lot, look and follow the “DONATION” signs.
Our receiving team is here to unload your donated items and carry them into the building.

If you need donation details for your tax or accounting records, take photos and note the details of the donated items for your personal records.
Upon the sale of the item(s) the proceeds will be used to support the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes and pay store expenses.
